Dummy / blank battery for D620

I'm going on my third Latitude (this newest one being a D620) and have the same complaint: I can never get my hands on a dummy battery for when I'm not travelling. It doesn't make sense to keep the battery in when you're plugged in (unless you're charging it of course) but I can never find something to put in there instead. I don't want another useless battery. Any suggestions? Anybody know where I can get a dummy? Does Dell secretly sell this and I just can't find it??

Close, but no cigar. The media bay is not what I'm after (although that would be useful too since I rarely need a optical drive while travelling). For some reason they don't seem to have these on the US site either... weird.

Well after an hour of scouring the internet I've come to a conclusion about my own question. Li-ion batteries can be stored charged, uncharged, or whatever without losing capacity, so keeping them in while plugged in isn't an issue. I also confirmed with the parts department that Dell doesn't make dummy batteries or fillers -- only for bay or pcmcia slots.

Still might have been nice to cut down on the weight though...
