Headphone socket issues with Inspiron 15-inch 5577
Hi community!
The headphone socket works normally for a while but suddently the audio goes out. However, the computer still registering the audio at play. It's like the audio stops to reach the headphones but the media still playing normally with no audio.
It happened three times yesterday so I downloaded the audio drivers and install them. Issue is now controlled but still happening after a couple of minutes.
I'm using a pair of Sennheiser. Best of the best and never had problem with them.

fgonzalez1,
Go to the control panel, then to hardware and sound, then sound. You should see something called manage audio devices. Plug in your headphones and see if they show up. select your headphones at the bottom it will say set as default, select this option.

I have an Inspiron 15 5577 model.
When it happens, if you unplug the headset then plug back in does it start working?
Or, if you wiggle the headset plug does it start?
Can you try a different headset?
