How to Remove BIOS password in Dell XPS 15 L502X
hi can anyone tell me how to remove the bios password on an XPS 15 L502X? my sister just bought a used one but the owner can't recall the bios password since he did it when it was new and it's been 3 years since. when I press f2 for bios settings it asks to enter password/unlock key and below it says Unlock key hint number 21F1B00C, don't know what that is. Any help is very much appreciated. I can give the service tag if needed. thanks

In order to unlock /reset the BIOS password you will have to provide us the required details of your computer.
Please provide me the Service tag on a private message, To send a private message, click on my user name and select send a
Private Message and provide your service tag and contact information (as mentioned below) so that I may access your system records.

Hello Dell Community,
I have this Dell XPS L502x system. Its BIOS is locked and the password is lost.
I contacted dell for BIOS password recovery and they couldn't give me a solution by phone, and I have to say that the customer service by phone was poor my call duration was nearly 3 hrs, may be I spoke to the wrong person, I don't want to believe it's same mentality/approach of all Dell representatives.
So can anyone please give me a solution on how to unlock or surpass the BIOS password of my system and access BIOS setting? please help me with this?

Is the system registered in your name? Is it under warranty?

Yes, it's registered under my name, it's not under warrantly at this time. Please give me a solution if you can ASAP.
