IDTCN64.CPL causing Explorer to die every 60 seconds after Win10 upgrade to Inspiron N5050
This is not a question. I just want to share my experience with the community. I recently upgraded a Dell Inspiron N5050 to Windows 10. However, after the upgrade was complete I found that Windows File Explorer was crashing and restarting every 60 seconds. Looking in the Event Log File I saw that the offending module was c:\windows\system31\IDTNC64.CPL. I then looked in Programs and Features and found the IDT Sound application that ships from Dell for the Inspiron and uninstalled the IDT application. After uninstalling IDT, Windows 10 behaved normally and explorer no longer crashes.
Just thought I would share this with the community in case anyone else is having problems upgrading their N5050

I tracked it here too. Only problem was IDT audio wouldn't uninstall. I'm going to try to install the new version and then delete that.
Thanks for the post, it will help others (and may with the same issue with HP model units too).
