Inspiron 14R (N4010) Graphics card upgrade
Hi,
I am having Inspiron 14R(N4010) laptop. When I purchased this laptop, graphics card was not separately installed (dedicated hardware) instead intergrated graphics card was installed. I think it is fixed with mother board.
Right now, I want to install a dedicated graphics card in my laptop. Here is my specs(listed below); Let me know, whether graphics install or not?
Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-370M (2.4GHz, 4Threads, 3M cache)
1333MHz performance is capped 1066MHz with Pentium, Core i3 and i5 processors.
Intel® HD Graphics (India).
I am not sure, whether my motherboard having extra PCI slot or not. So please let me know.

Even with a mainboard replacement, that system isn't going to run that application. You are looking to tow a 5,000 pound trailer with a Honda Fit.
You need a higher-end system to run Autocad - either a Precision mobile workstation or an Alienware 17 or better.

Hi Jerald,
Dell Inspiron 14R (N4010) comes with two types of systemboard. Discrete GPU and Onboard GPU which are embedded on the systemboard which cannnot be upgraded you will need to replace the systemboard itself.

I am trying to get my Inspiron N4010 to meet the requirements in order to run Autocad 2011 or Autocad Architecture 2011...any suggestions?
