Inspiron 7520 - How to set wake on LAN Schedule?
I have an Inspiron 7520 Laptop.
Bios A07
I am trying to setup wake on lan and the only option I see in the bios is under Advance - USB Wake Support, but there is no area to setup the actual schedule.
What am I missing? Most Bios have a "Power on by RTC" or similar setting which enables you to set a schedule of when you would like your laptop to power on.
My goal is to have the laptop turn on every weekday at 8:00am.
I have already used a task scheduler to shut it down at a particular time of the day/week but am completely stumped on how to power it up since the bios appears to be missing this particular feature.(Which is even odder, almost ever machine created in the last 10 years has this option in the bios....)

So after days of searching the internet for an answer, no responses here, I finally called Tech support.
The informed me that it does not have this feature. It's designed that way.
WOW I'm speechless.
So Dell does not have one of the most basic features every other manufacturer has had for at least the past 10 years or more?
Interesting.
All of our HP's we have in the museum have this option. It looks like this laptop is the last purchase for us from Dell. I will be sending HP my business for now on.
Amazing something so simple and far from new technology yet Dell is way behind the curve. They used to have this option in their Bios, so why remove it?
And in case others ask "Is it really that important that you would switch out your entire institutes computers for a new manufacturer because of this?" "The answer is absolutely. When you have multiple displays around a museum the last thing anyone wants to do is run around every morning and start up each display individually. My HP's are working like a champ, they fire up every morning at a predetermined time and then I use task scheduler to shut them down at a desired time.
Shoot come to think of it, even our Smart TV's (Samsungs) have this option in them, and they aren't even a computer!!! It's a freaking smart TV.

Nobody's ever set the wake on LAN feature on these laptops???

Dell keeps deleting my responses.
So just know it can't be done per Tech support.
The option is not there.
Go to any "Other Main Manufacturer" if you want this feature.
