Inspiron N5110 WIFI will not switch on?????
I have recently been having trouble with my wifi not finding any networks i have tried EVERYTHING on this forum and now i dont know what else to do
the intel software which is installed says the hardware radio switch is off. on the wifi setting switch the switch is shaded out and wont allow me switch it on the radio launch control button is activated i have tried doing the ip reset on .cmd i cannot re-install the drivers because the set up says the hardware switch is off
can anyone help thanks.

Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID, if using XP, run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.
What virus program and firewall are you using?

i dont know why or how this has happened i have not installed any software recently and i am using avg antivirus and internet security

I have seen AVG cause some connection problmes, so let's not rule that out.
Power off your ISP modem/router and your wireless router(if any) for 30 seconds. Then power on the ISP modem/router. Wait 15 seconds, then power on the wireless router(if any)
Restart the computer and try to connect.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Create a Power Plan
Select High performance.
Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
