Latitude D610 - Monitor error
Today, when I opened my laptop and the monitor came on for about 10 seconds then shut off. If I hold a flashlight up to the screen, I can still see the things I was looking at before it went blank, which means that it's not off.. It's like a light bulb went out or something.
Anyway, anyone know what the issue is here?

It's either the inverter (backlight power supply - small board behind the screen) or the backlight itself. Try the inverter first - remove the board and look for a replacement by the part number on it. If that doesn't work, replace the screen.
