Latitude E5530 power issue
I have an E5530 that will not charge or power on. When the charger is connected to the laptop the internal circuit breaker (in the power brick) trips. This happens with or with out the battery and with every charger I have tried (all Dell chargers). This unit is out of warranty but I like to try and fix it.

This is the part to replace first:

If that doesn't solve it, replace the mainboard.

Hi,
Try removing the battery and AC adapter, press and hold the power
button down for about 15 seconds, then connect the AC adapter and try
powering on.
If light on the adapter stays on while it’s not connected to the
laptop, there is no issue with the Ac adapter.
There is an issue with the motherboard of the laptop and you would
have to get it repaired.

I have tried that and as soon as it's connected the PS shuts off. Do you know if there is a separate DC/DC converter or is that built-in on the MB? If on the MB is there maybe a circuit breaker that could be replaced? I had to do that with another model but that was just for the LED backlight.
