13.56 MHz Contactless Smart Cards
ƒƒ Contactless smart cards use radio frequency (RF) to transmit data between the card and the
reader.
ƒƒ iCLASS cards offer the highest level of security through the use of diversified keys, mutual
authentication, and 3DES encryption.
ƒƒ If you are using HID proximity (125 kHz) cards, HID can assist with a seamless transition to a
multi-technology card. Ask us how!

"HID Global earned the award through its partnership with Dell on the Dell® LatitudeTM
E-Family Laptops, which include embedded contactless smart card readers that read/write to
HID iCLASS® cards and other ISO/industry standard contactless smart cards. This integration
of the first multi-technology contactless smart card reader into select Latitude E-Family
laptops allows end-users to benefit from the enhanced security of multi-factor
authentication and the convenience of using one card for logical and physical access control."
