Latitude e5420 Won't Boot After BIOS Upgrae
I upgraded a Latitude e5420 to BIOS a02, After the upgrade, the laptop will get to the Dell splash screen, then reboot...and just keep rebooting to the splash screen. The hard drive light blinks before each reboot.
I Reinstalled Windows 7, then upgraded the BIOS to A14 and it is doing the same thing. Cannot get past the splash screen, then rebooting.
I ran all the onboard diagnostics and the hardware passed all tests.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It is fixed. I got WIN 7 to install and before trying tor reboot it, I reflashed the BIOS back to A01 and it worked. I am not going to mess with it any further!

Hi ALEXMACK,
Are you able to get to f2 BIOS or f12 boot menu?
Have you reinstall Win 7 before or after the issue started?
Restart the system and press f2 key on startup to enter BIOS and check if the HDD is detected while in BIOS.
Under Post behavior -> Change fastboot to thorough and General -> boot mode to legacy and then reinstall Windows 7.
Check if the system boots off a bootable OS media.

I can get to BIOS and Boot Menu. The HDD is detected. The system boots off a cd. I will change the Post behavior settings, reinstall WIN 7 and see if that helps.

I fixed it. I got WIN 7 to install from the cd, then reflashed the BIOS back to A01. Seems fine now and I am not going to mess with it any further!

Tried this

Still no luck.
Machine will boot off cd
