Long Beep Sound while starting laptop. What to do?
I have a dell inspiron 1564 and its been more than a year since i bought it.
1. While starting, when the system is getting loaded (thts when the dell symbol appears on the blackscreen), it makes continuous beeping sound, and unless i press ENTER, it doesnt proceed and the sound doesnt stop.
Why is it that the sound comes? and what do i do to stop that?
2. Also, the bootscreen appears after this, which never used to come before. Comment on this too.
3. And the third problem, when the system asks for the user password, without me pressing any key, there appears a series of dots, continuosly getting typed in. How does that occur??
Could i kindly request, if there is any solution to the above problems.
Thank you for your kind consideration

Hi anandm_tv,
Welcome to the Community,
Beep codes can be used as diagnostic indicator. The computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if the LCD cannot display errors or problems. The following repetitive beep codes help the user troubleshoot problems with this computer.
Please refer to this chart below :
Not sure what are option you see on the boot screen.Check if any key is stuck on your keyboard for the password typing on its own.
Let me know if you need more help.
Thank You
