Need help with CMOS battery replacement on Inspiron 9300.

Question

I have a CR-2032 battery.  And can get the battery out of the system. But how do you get the battery out of the plastic battery holder.  I read on another thread to be very careful thw plastic holder is fagile.  Any help or experience will help.

It looks like a plastic tape - if you have just the battery, you'll have to remove the tape, solder the lead onto the battery, and replace the tape. Dielectric tape should work just as well as the original plastic wrap.
