New battery for Inspiron 1764
Hello,
I have this labtop (Inspiron 1764) about 2 years and already now the batterylife is finisched.
I tried to contact Dell because can't order new battery on the Belgium/Netherlands website. Only on the USA-website I could do but can't finish the order because they don't send to Europe.
I called now 3 times to Dell Belgium with a request for new battery but after 2 years they can't already deliver the battery anymore :emotion-6::emotion-7: . Contact on phone takes about 20/30 mins everytime and everytime they promise to send mail but up to now still no reaction.
I work now about 20 years with Dell computers but at this stage I really start to doubt to buy another new "DELL" because the bad service at this moment.
After 2 years not even spare battery's anymore......not responding after promises and knowing that those battery's are available in the USA but they refuse to help there customer.... I really regret this way of working. <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> is the service tag
Someone nows how to get a battery for my device because seems Dell is totaly not rushing to help !!!!!

Hello,
Yes I check that website but there is no battery available for my labtop. I also called them and there answer is.... sorry, no longer available and we are sorry, it happens more that short after putt on the market battery's are no longer available... :emotion-12: :emotion-12:
So what they suggest hé.... buy again a new labtop after 2 years?????????????,
I don't ask warrenty hé, just want to replace this battery so I can work longer than 2 years with this expensive device instead of trowing it away. :emotion-6:

Keep in mind that most makers of batteries only warranty them 1 year max.
Many things cant be sent to Europe due to ROHS.

He is in Europe/Belgum so he needs ROHS compatIble vendor.

Try attbatt.com they have compatible batteries. They ship internationally. They have two for the Dell laptop Inspiron 1764.

We have purchased from them in the past and have had good results.

I also have a Inspiron 1764 Laptop just under three years old. Check Dell who are quoting £141 for a new 6 cell battery. I have now ordered one from amazon which is a brand new sealed Dell battery for £25.99. The selling company through Amazon is Koopower and you can E-mail them at
I agree, Dell is the biggest rip off merchant I have come across and I will never again give them my business.
