Touchpad is not appearing in my device manager!
With the problem that I posted as below, I took my laptop to Dell service centre in Chennai, where they diagonised it to have a hardware issue with not only the Touchpad, but also with the "odd". hence i heve left ithther for service, and I thank you all for having spared time to read my issue.................................................
In my new Dell inspiron N5010 laptop the touchpad is missing from the device manager. On further digging I got yhe following message:

Device is not present, not working properly, or does not have all of its drivers installed. |
| Cause: |
A device has a configuration problem that prevents it from working properly. |
| Details: |
The device, PS/2 Compatible Mouse, is reporting "tv_ConfigMgrErr24". This device will not be available until the issue is resolved. The Plug and Play ID for this device is ACPI\DLL0447\4-7AE34D4-0. |
| Resolution: |
1. Verify the correct driver is installed. |
| 2. Try updating the drivers using Windows Update. |

| 3. Check with the manufacturer for an updated driver. |

| 4. Attempt to uninstall and then reinstall the device using Device Manager. |

What should I do to get it back into life? I am no IT guy and can follow simple guidelines only please.
