XPS M1330 issues - please kindly help - keyboard and touchpad issues

Hello All,

I don't want to make this sound like a conspiracy theory, but weird thigs happened with my laptop lately.

I have an XPS M1330 which which i bought last October.... 

So 4 days before my warranty was going to expire i received a call from Dell asking me to renew it and after i declined my laptop started slowly dying....

First of all nobody at Dell bothers fixing small little things like for example fixing the power options under Vista.... my laptop for example if switched to High Performance shut's down the LED display after 30 minutes and there's no way to turn it back on unless you hard shut-down the laptop - meaning that you need to hold the power button until it shuts down... so i accidently forgot it and  after i shut it down there was a windows major failure, so i had to copy my whole hard drive under dos, in order to bring it back to life after installing windows from the image.... very painful considering it was caused by something so insignificant

Then the next day my battery was dead and i mean completely dead (just 4 days after the warranty expired).... and i know that they don't cover batteries under the warranty but 4 days after - it's like they have internal clock????

I ordered a new battery, but the next day there was a new issue:

my keyboard and the touchpad started skipping,and by skipping i mean that you have to hold a button for 2-3 seconds in order to type it - imensely annoying.... 

same thing with the pointer/tpuchpad it appears jumping in two inches....

the weird thing is that USB mouse and keybord works perfectly fine which made me thing that this is a hardware issue.

So i thought this was caused by the keyboard, and ordered a new one which i just changed and the issue does not go away. my laptop is completely up to date missing only the latest BIOS update, where again we get up to a Catch 22 situation - i can only install it when a battery is present and the laptop is plugged into AC, but since my batteryis dead it doesn't recognize it, so i cant do anything.

I'm wondering if this can be fixed by the BIOS update which eventually i will find out when my new battery arrives, but in the mean time i'm wondering if someone else had similar problems....
