XPS M1710 graphics card
I have a G71 graphics card that is no longer working in my XPS M1710, 4 years old. I have seen from the community posts that a replacement card such as the nvidia 7950 GTX should be a suitable replacement. Are there any concerns about buying a card from a vendor other than Dell. I have seen it referenced that there may be some proprietary differences in the cards. The card is available elsewhere. Also, Dell does not advertise the card as available for purchase at this time. Any comments would be appreciated.

Wherever you buy it, it'll be the same and will have originally come from Dell - the card is proprietary to this system and no one else made them.
