dell inspiron N5110 not charging
recently my laptop stopped charging... the AC is connected but the battry is not charging its telling me "plugged in not charging stil stays at 66%

Hi sam139,
I suggest you to try charging with the different adapter. You will need to replace the AC Adapter, if the Battery charges from the know good adapter. You may also run the hardware diagnostics to check if all the other components are working properly by following the steps provided in the link below:

the diagnostics show that everything is clear and that there are no problems concerning either the battery pack or the AC adapter
the bios recognises the AC adapter when arriving to windows it shows "plugged in charging" 1 minute later shows "plugged in not charging" i really can't understand the problem

Yesterday i discharged completely the battery and plugged in the AC POWER the battery charged till 66% and did not go beyond i repeated it twice same problem
Dell battery meter indicates that the battery performs normally
Bios recognizes the AC : 65W and dell support center does not detect any problems nor the diagnostics at the boot screen

Thank you for providing an update on the status. I suggest you to update the BIOS to the latest version and check if the battery works properly. You can download the latest BIOS from the following link by punching in the Service Tag and by click on the "Drivers & Downloads" tab:
