hardwire ethernet connection for Inspiron 14 with no cat5 input?

I have an Inspiron 14 7437 laptop which has no input for a hardwire enthernet network connection. I've encountered a couple of oddball situations where wireless was not available and would have liked to plug into the local network. Can I do so with one of those inexpensive cat5 to usb adapters and get both functionality through my usb2 or 3 ports and reasonable download speed?

Hi letkin,

Thanks for your post on the Dell Community.

For network connection you should try an USB to RJ45/Ethernet Dongle plugged in to your USB3 port for fastest speeds.

Hope this helps.

Robert
