inspiron 1200 memory upgrade

I have been trying to figure out what type of memory I need for my Inspiron 1200 laptop.  I looked in the manual but I only found information about the type and not the what speed I needed. I can get my memory locally if I can only figure out what to buy. Can anyone help me with this problem.
Thank you, Tim

Your best bet is www.crucial.com.

The system uses non-ECC, PC2700 soDIMMs.

Hi, the memory I used I bought from newegg: A-DATA V-Series 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Desktop Memory Model VDBDB1916 - OEM It works flawlessly but if I had it to do over again I would get a full 1Gig of RAM. Blue screen after memory upgrade means it isn't working. tm
