inspiron 15r 5521 processor change
hi
i have bought an inspiron 15r 5521 with the i5 3317u processor. i would like to change the underpowered 3317 and get a more powerful i5 3210m is it possible to do so without changing any other component?
will it have any negative effects other than the reduced battery life ?

The processor you have is an FC-BGA design - it is hard soldered to the system board. It is not removeable or upgradeable.

Hi jjgodofwar,
The Inspiron 15r 5521 system is tested with i5 3317u and i5 3337u processors. Due to the package size i5-3210M is not compatible.
