xps m1530 numlock stays lit, caps lock and scroll lock blinking
hello,
my laptop has started acting up. i already tried google but it didnt really give me help. so here it goes.
i booted up my laptop but the screen remains black. when i look at the leds, the numlock led is lit and doesnt blink, but the scroll lock and the caps lock indicators are blinking. i read in google that it may just need a memory reset or something so i removed and installed the memory again. but still it has the same problem.
what do you guys think?

The code indicates a memory failure - try the modules one at a time, and in each socket until you narrow down whether it's one module or a socket that's gone bad.

ok, so after a few tries, it still doesnt work.
i've read at some places that if the caps lock key is blinking then it is about the memory. in my case, both the caps and the scroll lock led is blinking.
does that make a difference?
sending it to dell isnt really one of our options since there is no dell service center where i am at right now.

Assuming you've tried new memory modules, the next step would be to replace the system board.
