NetApp Boot LUN migrations to VMAX
Hello folks,
We have windows hosts(Oracle and Exchange) booting from NetApp SAN, these need to be migrated to VMAX.
I cannot use array level migrattion software like openreplicator since NetApp is not compatible with OR.
I believe Open Migrator cannot be used for migrating boot LUNs
We are looking into doubletake software if that can be used to migrate the boot LUNS, I have never used it before though.
What can be the other viable options? Any suggestions are appreciated.

how about cloning solutions like Acronis ? I know they load qlogic/emulex HBAs in the bootable CD so you can see SAN attached devices. I have not personally tried it but it would be an interesting exercise.

We have tried Acronis on a test server, but was no good. The host could not come up on either netapp or emc lun after reboot, the OS got crashed
But we have not used a bootbale CD during this process, I think we just cloned the boot image to a new EMC LUN and then pointed the UCS profile to the new boot LUN and rebooted the host.
May be I will have to try this process again...
