Adding 2.5-inch hard drive to Inspiron 3671 Desktop Computer

It appears I can add two 2.5-inch hard drive to my Inspiron 3671 Desktop Computer. Is it possible because there is seems to be two space for them, and there are two SATA ports left available on the motherboard?

Hi,

So reading this, is it true that if I have a primary 3.5" HDD, my only option for additional storage is to add up to 2.5" drives but they can each only be 1TB each?

what is SATA AHCI. Is it SATA 1, 2, or 3?

I honestly don't know the answer to that. However, I just got off the phone with Dell and they confirmed that I can only add two 2.5 inch drives but they can only be 1TB each. I RMA'd the machine and will get a different spec. Thank you for responding however.

Hi Jesse.

I have bought 2 2.5" 1Tb drives. I need to know what power cables are needed. The Sata data cables are in place. I was told Dell has its own connectors, so what is the name of the power cable, and where can I get them?

Hi Jesse.

The manual does not mention the SATA power cable.
