Inspiron 3670 Event 137
Immediately following the "Intel Management Engine Interface Driver - A01 - 75 MB - Recommended" was installed (mine was Aug 24th), I receive the following error every time I initialize 'sleep'. The exact message is:
The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in reduced resume performance.
I found no option for rolling back driver and wasn't confident deleting driver was a good idea.
Inspiron 3670 manual does not give any detail to BIOS settings but Power settings seem fine.
Hybernation is disabled. SFC /scannow reports everything is fine.
Sleep worked fine prior to update. I have not found a web hit for Dell, but an Asus forum suggests that there is a conflict with the Processor driver.
Any help would be appreciated. System works fine other than that error.

thank you for your suggestions. I will check bios settings, however, I sounds from your response that perhaps I should just "leave it alone"? This all started be installing Dell "support assist", which I have subsequently disabled. So this was a "DELL" critical update rather than a Microsoft one.
Windows reports this
C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg -a

Standby (S3)
The following sleep states are not available on this system:

There are always going to be errors.
Change the power profile to High Performance.
I suspect this one is related to the forced windows 10 upgrades to 1803 and beyond.
You can set the bios to Disable Advanced C states and only allow S1 sleep instead of S2 or S5 Deep Sleep.
Kernel-Power Error: Event ID 137
'The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S5)
User Profile Service; Event ID 1530
'Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services.
The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.
You may also receive a "Stop 0x0000007E" error on the first restart after you enable Hyper-V on a Windows.

The Inspiron 3670 user manual does not have details for BIOS Settings. The only power settings I found that could be related were "deep sleep control". It has 3 options.
disabled
enabled in S5 only
enabled in S4 and S5
As suggested in original response, I changed the default "enabled in S4 and S5" or "disabled" but this had no effect. I am a little confused on this as documentations states S4 is for hibernation and S5 for shutdown.
I am not a bios guru, so am not sure what your response is suggesting. I don't see any way to set it to S3. The event posting seems to indicate that somehow it is being sent a switch to S4 setting

I usually try to config any WinTel machine's BIOS for a working S3 Sleep.
On older machines, flipping the "CPU C6 Report" BIOS option to fix Sleeping/Waking.
On newer UEFI machines, more control is in Windows itself.
