Inspiron 530, BIOS help

Have a 530 Inspiron that I bought new and hasn't been used much since about that time I started using laptops. I'm upgrading for a granddaughter. This computer at bootup has always displayed the following message after the Dell logo, "Diskette drive 0, Seek Failure F1 continue, F2 Enter Setup". I hit F1 and it loads and operates normally. I would like to get rid of this annoying sequence and boot directly from the "c" drive of course. I think the bios believes the computer has a floppy which it doesn't. I has a Dvd drive, and a Cd drive in addition to the hard drive. I have gone to F12 boot sequence and I can move the hard drive above the removeable disk drive, but that appears to be a one time apply. After that it goes back to the Diskette drive seek failure on bootup. I have also gone to F2, setup and boot menu. The removeable drive is at the top of the list and then below that is the hard drive, the dvd, and cd drives. There is no way I can see to move the hard drive above the "removeable drive" If I then go to standard cmos and it lists drives starting with the Samsung hard drive, then the cd, and dvd drives. Then it showsDrive A 1.4, 3.5 floppy, and says "halt on (all but keyboard). I'm not sure what that means, but it seems to indicate if no drive a, to halt everything except keyboard entries. Could I/should I select the Drive A and change the "halt on" to off. Again, this computer does not have a floppy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
