Inspiron 5675, PSU upgrade issue
I'm hoping someone more educated on this topic than I am can offer some advice here.
I have recently decided to beef up both the GPU and CPU in this PC, having already increased the RAM to 16 GB and added a 1 TB SSD. The GPU and CPU in question here are the EVGA RTX 2080 FTW3 Ultra, and the Ryzen 7 1800x, respectively. Unfortunately, a 460 watt PSU isn't quite enough to power these things.
I ended up settling for a 'modular' Dell 850w PSU, model HU850EF-00. The thing fits in the case perfectly - however, soon after inserting it into the case, I discovered a problem.
The old PSU's cables are clearly not meant to be removed, as it would require physically removing the PSU's upper plating, and, as far as I can tell (from shining a flashlight into the thing), the sockets aren't even close to compatible with the new PSU. It seems recycling them here isn't an option.
So, my question is: What cables are compatible with this PSU and hardware, and where could I find them? I've scoured the internet, but I can't find anything that implies compatibility with this particular PC model.

If you can't find the cables on line from the usual "suspects", you could try Dell Spare Parts, 1-800-289-3355.
BTW: Have you searched this forum for threads about PSU upgrades in the Inspiron 5675?

I have done a reasonable search of the forums, yes. In fact, these forums are where I found this PSU model to begin with. However, I have been unable to locate any forum posts indicating which wires to use, or where to find them. It is possible I have missed something, though.
I'll ring up the spare parts line if I can't figure anything else out within a few days. Thanks.

I've been talking with Dell's support for several weeks now, and, while the cables I require do exist, some of them are - and have been - completely out of stock. That said, they confirmed that just about any PSU that fits in the case will work, regardless of what brand or model it is, provided the wires are plugged into their intended sockets.
Now, at this point, since the cables I require may be out of stock for an extensive amount of time (and locating other cable sets that may work would take more patience than I have remaining), I'd prefer to just grab a regular 850 watt PSU that fits well enough in the case. I'm currently looking at the EVGA model 210-PQ-0850-X1 PSU, as its dimensions are an (almost) perfect fit for this case (assuming I've measured this correctly.) If you - or anyone - could confirm this thing's compatibility, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if that EVGA model will fit...
But, I see a place offering new Aurora HU850EF-00 PSUs with cables. There are others offering it with cables too so shop around. And maybe this is your solution since you seem to know this PSU fits.
Caveat: I don't know that seller so do some homework before sending money or giving them a credit card number.

From what I can see, that HU850EF-00 PSU is for Alienware Aurora models R7 R5 R6. So there should be a Dell wiring harness for that PSU but I don't know what connectors it would have on the motherboard side.
You might want to post in one of the threads that mention using this PSU model with a 5676 Ryzen motherboard and ask what wiring harness they used and where they bought it...
