Inspiron 5765 Upgrades possible ?
Is it possible to upgrade my computer so that it can handle more demanding games ? Thank you for your help.

i5 7600 is comparable to R7 1700x, the top cpu of 5765. Current price of R7 1700x is $145.
GTX 970 is comparable to rx 580. Current price is 250% of what used to be 3 years ago on these relatively old cards. Expect to pay $250 on eBay. Local sale may find better deal.

You have AMD A10-9700 RADEON R7 which is an APU.
you could upgrade to R7 1700x with a discrete gpu to boost gaming performance.
R7 1700x is Zen architecture two gen behind latest Zen 3. Best discrete gpu to match depends on game you play n resolution. Suggested gpu are GTX 1060, rx580, RX Vega 64, RTX 2070/2080.

I want to at least be able to play Xenonauts 2 until the computer market gets back to normal, so that I can buy a new desktop with an AMD 5000 series CPU, preferably a Ryzen 7 or 9, something that can handle any game with everything maxed out. My budget is $3000. I'll only be using it for gaming so no multi-tasking.
