Logitech X540 5:1 surround sound issues

Have Inspiron 3656,  Motherboard RCH59 Ver. A00 running W10.  Logitech speakers died.  Can't seem to access driver or properties of device.  Get audio over HDMI connection to Samsung SyncMaster monitor/TV only.  Tried DL of Support System Launcher.  First attempt corrupt/failed.  All subsequent DLs and executions got consistent fail of can't access .NET datafiles on server.  Comments?  Questions?  Suggestions?  Advice?

Do you know if this is a failure of the Logitech 5.1 speakers or is something wrong with this PC?  Can you test the speakers on another PC?

Assuming it's not a speaker failure, open Device Manager and see if Realtek Audio is listed. If it's listed is it marked with an ! or X? If marked, right-click and uninstall it. Also look for any "unknown" devices listed in Device Manager, and right-click to uninstall them. Then install this Realtek driver and reboot.

Does that help?
