New case 3880

Is there any possible way to get a new replacement for the Dell Inspiron 3880 like a big one or a better version of the shell

Do you mean moving 3880 components to a bigger better case?

the motherboard is proprietary in form factor and mounting hole positions and not going to fit nicely in a standard full tower case.  You can try installing the board in a bigger non-Dell case (probably need to drill custom mounting holes) and give up all the front IO ports because they would not fit new case.

Dell case seems to have a permanent non detachable IO shield at back. You will lose the shield after moving to new case.

Dell PSU is TFX which does not fit standard case either, although you may upgrade to standard ATX psu and use 24 to 6 pin adapter for the board.

@HiJeremy

Its possible but its not easy.

Dell does not publish pinouts or specifications.

Any such modification is done at your own risk.
