Optiplex 760 no wireless after Windows 7 install

Hi all,

Really hoping for some help with this one as I am stuck!

I have the above PC which worked no issue with Windows 10, I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and immediately there was no wireless network connections. I have tried downloading the network drivers from the Dell site but once installed they simply come up with the error 'no compatible hardware found' so I am not convinced I am doing the right thing.

In device manager, under Network adapters I have - Intel (R) 82567 LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection

Under other devices that have a ! next to them I have - 802.11n WLAN adapter, PCI serial port, PCI simple communications controller.

I downloaded the NIC_DRVR_WIN_R255720.EXE 802.11n WLAN driver but that is the one I am trying to install but it comes up with no compatible software.

I am really hopeful someone on here can help me! Thanks in advance.

You need to install the chipset driver first - then reboot and install the wireless driver.
