SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools failing to update
I received a notification for SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools to update (it appeared as an urgent update). Upon trying to update it, I get a "Some of the updates could not be installed. See the status column for details." When I check the status column, it says "Failed". Is there another way I can download and update this?
Any help is appreciated.

I have the very same issue with my Alienware.
Are we going to get any help from Dell?

I have the same problem. I own an Alienware 17 R5 and Dell's SupportAssist shows a number of updates, including a "critical" "SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools" update. When I try to install the updates, they all fail to install. I get the message "Some of the updates could not be installed. See the Status column for details." The "Status" column just shows "Failed" for all the updates, which is in no way helpful. Between this, my Alienware R5's broken BIOS ( can't interpret SO-DIMM SPD data correctly ), my inability to install Dell updates, Dell's very poor "support" and poor "Alienware" apps, it's almost certain that my next high-end laptop will *not* be a Dell.
