Audio problem with external earphone on Dell 7306
Hi
I have a Dell Inspiron 7306 and whenever I plug any kind of external earphones all I hear is static sound. No problem when the sound comes directly from the computer. There's a message to define what kind of instrument I've pluged in but whatever I press I will here static sound instead of music or talking
Could you help me?

Check the port for headphones which shown in the manual--
Inspiron 7306 2-in-1 Black Service Manual (dell.com)
The correct port is a small round port #2 on the right side of the laptop which is a combo port for headphones and microphone. You change Sound settings by right clicking on the speaker icon on the right side of taskbar and selecting Sound settings.
