Battery life after bios update

Hello to all. A few days ago, after doing diagnostics from the Dell site for my product (Inspiron 17 5000 Series), he proposed me the Urgent Bios update with the 'Dell Inspiron 5459/5559/5759 System BIOS' file of 31 May 2019. Immediately after doing this update I started having serious battery problems. Let me explain: before the upgrade the battery lasted more than 80 minutes and a laptop dated like mine. Once the update has been completed, now lasts a maximum of 20 minutes. It seems to be too drastic to drop, from one day to the next, that may be attributable to battery wear.

Yep, very possible. For example fan management can be affected.

Laptop batteries normally last around a year to a year and a half, so, it would appear that your battery may need to be replaced.

but it doesn't seem normal to me. the day before the bios was updated, the battery lasted 80 min, immediately after the bios was updated as soon as 20. I don't think the battery has lapsed in one day of all this. is it possible to downgrade the bios?

as I had imagined, there are no battery problems because today I accidentally discovered that when the PC tells me that the battery is low, I tried to turn the PC back on and despite the battery indicator telling me 0%, it's more than 1 hour that I'm using it. But now in this situation I don't realize when the PC will shut down, because from 1 hour it tells me 0%. It couldn't possibly be a battery problem because it happened overnight. Now, however, I have this problem that the PC shuts down after 20 minutes because it believes the battery is low, when it isn't. What can I do?
