Since your laptop is equipped with a "SMART" power system you will not harm the battery life playing games while charging.
In fact you can help extend battery life by going into the BIOS under "Power Management" and adjust the "Primary Battery Charge Configuration"
There are varying opinions on an optimum setting but I think "STOP" at 80% and "Start" at 20% is a good start.

If it is, it's about three years old - - so hopefully it came with a stiff discount. You will need to verify originality with the seller.

you can go to the dell power manager and select Primarly AC use, and it wont harm your laptop
