Dell 15 G7 7588 - Freeze, errors, hangs

Question

Hi,

Bought G7 7588 2 days ago.. after 24hours of usage my laptop hanged. Now im facing these issues:

1: laptop turn on but dont show display if the charger is connected. Works fine if starts on battery power.

** battery is charging if the system is off.

2: when the charger is connected on bios or windows system hangs.

3: if i try to install fresh windows on HDD i facing these errors WHeA_controllable_error, irql_not_less_or_equal, kmode execption not handled.

4: many times windows loading dots appear and system hangs.

@DropsVFX Followed ur solution but it didn't work for me. I had a faulty motherboard i guess they just replaced my laptop with new one ;)

There no solution for this type of error and case, this error occurs due to Faulty Motherboard. get your machines replaced by DELL at your earliest.

WHeA_controllable_error  is Physical hardware damage.

Hi! I have fixed the same problem that occurred in the laptop. While I was doing research I searched for common fixes for blue screen of death and I have come to a conclusion that it was the cpu causing it to freeze and not boot up properly. An easy fix for this was to go to bios by pressing F2 then look for Turbo Boost and then disable it. As soon as I disabled it my laptop went back to normal and would charge and run properly. Hope this helps!

I still get bsod's consistently so I am considering to return the dell g7 in and get it replaced because i think I also have a motherboard problem

I am having the same problem with my G7 17 7790. It freezes when charger is connected if laptop is running. However,  the battery charges alright when laptop is off
