Dell 7567 ssd upgrade

Can my dell 7567 be compatible with a 500gb ssd, after much research there are posts which say it can and cannot, and can only fit a 256gb ssd, just wanted to be sure.

Welcome to the Dell Community @Manish Dash

Crucial has 1TB and 2TB drives tested and guarantied for your laptop.

Inspiron 15 (7567) Compatible upgrades:

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/dell/inspiron-15-(7567)

These upgrades are guaranteed compatible when you order from Crucial.com:

Since you have an M.2 drive installed why not just purchase and install a 2.5" SSD???

Use your M.2 to Boot and run apps and use the new SSD as default storage???

Best regards,

U2

What size is the M.2 you have installed now???

They only tested drives up to that capacity, but just as with a 2.5" drive, a larger capacity drive in M.2 2280 format will work just fine.

Oh okay, ill try going with a 500gb ssd and try it out cause i dont want to waste money if it doesn't workout, just worried if it will cause any problems with the motherboard if it isn't compatible.

Any standard 2.5" SATA SSD will work -- even a high capacity unit like a 1T (which is the sweet spot between price/capacity at the moment).

Mine has a 2280, m2x3 ssd slot, so the 2.5" won't fit, when i contacted support they only specified 256gb but other people post of using 500gb for dell 7567, so this has me confused.

I haven't installed anything in the m2 slot yet(only have hdd) and 1tbssd  is out of my budget(need to buy ram too that's why) so I'd just like to install a 500gb ssd. I'll check out crucial.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

Hey, Did the SSD upgrade work? I'm planning to upgrade my SSD for Dell Inspiron 7567 to 500 GB as well.

I have 500GB ssd on m.2 slot (samsung evo 850) and another 500gb SSD 2.5 inch (sandisk), both working flawlessly.

Treat trend everyone.

Does anyone know whether my 7567 will support 1TB M.2 nvme?
I plan on getting the ADATA XPG 8200 Pro 1TB.

Worried if the 7567 supports up to 1TB M.2

Thanks!
