Dell G5 SE 5505 will not start up
Dell G5 SE 5505
My computer was working a few days ago but now it will not start up. When I press the start button it goes through its normal motions and puts up the dell logo with a circle that goes around. After a few seconds the circle will freeze, and the computer does not go any farther. When I press a button on the keyboard the keyboard will light up, but nothing happens. I have reset the computer almost to factory settings but wanted to know would that do anything or is there a hardware problem that I need to replace?
I have a Dell G5SE 5505 running Windows 11.

The first step would be to run diagnostics, F12 at boot, to confirm that the problem is not caused by defective hardware. This Dell support page may help as it deals with POST problems.

I ran the diagnostic, and it came back clean. My computer then restarted and started working again after reinstalling windows. Not sure if that is what fixed it, but it is now working.

Disconnect all devices such as USB drives, printers, webcams, and media cards (SD/xD). Press and hold the power button for 15 to 20 seconds to drain residual power. Connect the AC adapter or power cable and the battery (for Dell laptops).
