Dell G7 7588 battery drain problem
I do not see anyone having problems with the battery life after 1.4 BIOS update, but I have. On a 1.3 version, my battery lasted about 5.30 minutes with normal use. After 1.4 BIOS update I could not get more than 2.30min with the same usage. Now, 1.5 update has been released, but I still have the same problem.
I tried by deleting battery drivers, removing the battery and returning it back and nothing helped. Does anyone have similar problems?

This appears to be a normal condition and the system is performing as designed.

I am having the exact same issue. I could easily get over 4 and a half hours of battery life before updating the BIOS to 1.50. Now I can't even get over 2.5 hours. This is ridiculous, Dell just needs to fix the BIOS issue with the G7 once and for all, either that or roll us back to the previous one. Because the issues don't just stop on battery life, they extend to overheating and thermal throttling issues.

The first thing you should do is run Dell diagnostic to check status of Battery Health and the other hardware within the computer. You could do this by following steps below.
1. Power off system. Remove all peripherals such as printer, external drive, flash drive, printer.
2. Power on system, quickly start tapping F12 key continuously until you see Preparing One Time Boot Menu in top right corner of screen. In Dell Preboot Menu, select Diagnostic. After quick tests, select Primary Battery, Thorough Test Mode.
Report back any error code. Check Results, System Health and Events Logs after all tests.

Hi, facing a little worse scenario here!!!
Battery doesn't long last more than 30 mins to 45 mins, its been year and a half since purchase of laptop,
Please kindly let me know any suggestions and guide me to improve the life and efficiency on the laptop while on a battery mode.
Btw, am an Architect, the maximum I have utilized the laptop is for 3d modelling softwares such as Rhino, Revit Architecture and some 2d software 'ssuch as Autodesk Autocad and related ones. And some rendering software's such as Vray and Lumion and the rest is general usage with browsing and reading documents and files handling.
Though its a gaming laptop, haven't used it up for games or simulations much. Type of games were like old tycoon games and some road rash

Poor battery and making quality like abs body is cheap quality of the laptop , the service is quick but what the point of service when product quality is not worth

Mine is even worse. The battery completely drains when my laptop is powered OFF! If it is not plugged into the charger 24/7, it will completely drain and when I turn on the laptop after having it off for a couple days, not plugged in, it has a screen that says the battery is critically low. I have run all the diagnostics and found nothing.
