Dell G7 sleep state

Question

Dell g7The problem with the state of sleep.The computer probably does not sleep.It consumes about 10% of its battery within an hour.in the menu - advanced power settings - many options are missing.I have already installed all the drivers available on the dell website several times. the powercfg / a command shows that the S3 state is unsupported

I want to add that I tried this in my case (Dell G7 17 7790, no real sleep) and it did not work. What worked was adding also this key, under the same node (Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power)

new DWORD, name "PlatformAoAcOverride", set to value 0

Then reboot. I would keep both keys (CsEnabled and PlatformAoAcOverride) set to 0.

Now opening command prompt (Win+R - "cmd") and typing "powercfg /a" clearly shows that S0 is disabled and S3 (deep sleep) is available.

I don't have such registry ,,CsEnabled' there. What should I do?

There is no CsEnabled switch in my registry under that key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/system/currentcontrolset/control/power). There is a HibernateEnabled. or an IgnoreCsComplianceCheck.

Hi, What is 'PlatformAoAcOveride'?  I was having trouble with my Dell G7 17 7790 not going to sleep. I entered the above into the registry as you recommended and my computer now sleeps. Regards, Darren

Thanks for the tip! This does not completely solve my problem:

While in S0, the PC wakes immediately
Adding PlatformAoAcOverride set to 0 and CsEnabled set to 0 enables S3 but the device screen remains black

Has anyone experienced this?
