Dell Inspiron 14 3000 Microphone Not Working?

Hello! Hope you are all doing well. I bought a Dell Inspiron 14 3000 laptop a while back, and I didn't notice until now, but I can't find a way to get the microphone working. I have looked around and seen lots of talk about uninstalling drivers and stuff like that, but I'm sort of scared to touch anything with drivers, because my brother once touched something with drivers on his computer, and it almost ruined everything; that, and I'm not too tech-savvy, in the sense that I don't know what I should and shouldn't touch, haha.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, that would be great, and any feedback is greatly appreciated!
