Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 BIOS Update

Question

Hi, I received a dell notification to update BIOS driver. I went to the dell website and downloaded the latest BIOS driver. When I ran the exe file, the message displayed that the current BIOS version is A10 and the new BIOS version is A12. The next window was the command prompt which displayed the question as follows:

Are you sure you want to perform a Firmware Downgrade? (Y/N):

I don't know if I should proceed or not. Firstly, it states that my BIOS version is A10 and I am suppose to upgrade to A12 but then it says that I am downgrading my firmware. Please help me with my issue.

It's the same issue with the 15R 7520 and the same advice. Even if you tried to install it, it won't downgrade. You'll end up with errors and it'll abort. I know, I've tried it on the 7520. Just ignore it is my advice.
