Dell Inspiron 3531 ethernet connection available?

Hi, I am having issues connecting my Inspiron 3531 to ethernet. I’ve purchased a USB to Ethernet adapter but it doesn’t seem to take the connection. Is there a driver I am missing? Or is connecting ethernet to this laptop just not possible?

As expressed in another thread...the wifi on the laptop is brutally slow.

Apparently you need to install a driver.

Link to the driver is in one of answers to the questions.

Whether the adapter needs a driver depends on the chip used.

I have USB-to-Ethernet adapters that even work in Linux.

By “chip” so you mean Processor?

If so, this is an Intel Celeron CPU N2830 @ 2.16GHz

This worked. The driver listed in the questions didn’t work..but it put me on the right path. I found the correct one on the Anker site.

Thanks for the help!
