Dell Inspiron 5584 charge time
Just received a new inspiron 5584. It's now been charging for three hours. Still not finished with the setup because it shuts off when striking a key. Is it a moneysaving feature for dell not to deliver chrged batteries? What a disapointment this is!!!. You could not even put a sticker to indicate the on off switch. Took some time before I found it...

What a joke this forum is, no one bothers to answer. Think I'm through with Dell. It's just as expensive as other brands, Paying over 500 dollars for a laptop that won't power up...no more.

Welcome to the Dell Community @Halgrim
Sorry but most of us are volunteers and have day time jobs.
Charging time (approximate): 4 hours (when the computer is off)

You may want to check the BIOS for "Power Management"
Under Windows you should have "Dell Power Manager"
