Tips for Proper Usage

• Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems and increases in performance, heat transfer can become an issue.
   

  NOTE: During normal operation, the temperature of the bottom of a portable system may exceed comfortable levels for sustained contact. It is possible that skin irritation could result from prolonged contact to the system chassis.

   
• Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
   

  Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other type of cloth will cover up the fan and disrupt airflow. This will cause the system to overheat and can cause permanent damage.

   
• The recommended general room temperature for reliable operation of the system is 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a humidity level no greater than 90%. For specific environmental usage temperatures for your system, refer to your User's Guide or Setup Guide.
• Use canned compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis. This will remove accumulated dust, hair etc.
• Using a laptop cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance. Laptop cooling pads generally utilize fans that supplement the system fans and ensure optimal airflow is maintained.

It's not a thin laptop.

After changing the laptop heat sink and fan,laptop is heating again too much. You Dell are making fool of customers by selling defected products.

Tell me now what to do now fan and heat sink also changed and issue is not resolved till now.

Resolve my issue ASAP.

Disable the background app.

This laptop air vent is already blocked by default. then how heat will reduce?

How to identify room temperature, any gadgets are free of charge when we buy Dell laptop?  or We buy the A/C cooler separately (we spent our money again).

Cooling pad is free of charge.

Then finally if we use Dell laptop we want to buy room temperature gadget , A/C cooler and cooling pad what else we want to buy?

This heat issue is not Dell mistake. this heat issue is occur by Intel Graphics DCH driver and chipset driver. intel doesn't given proper graphics driver for each and every mobile cpu. (Ex : intel audio display driver is same for UHD 620 and iris graphics for 10th generation cpu).

Dell is best laptop with AMD cpu. even qualcomm cpu (7nm) is also better choice.

@all I bought dell Inspiron 5593 and was facing the heating issues and fan noise. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from dell support and followed the following youtube videos. I am not facing the heating issues and fan noise. Hope this will help to resolve your issues.

I have an intel core i7 which runs at a faster 1.5 ghz base speed. i got a intel core i5 for my wife , which is a 1.2 ghz base speed, and quiet most of the time. The fan noise was driving me crazy. I wanted to post that this dell 5593 and most dells are great laptops. dell is so great that they offer a utility to tweak the fan settings, and i chose the quiet option and the fan is so much quieter that i do not hear it as often any more. i was so close to giving up and living with the noisy fan. the fan is new and not broken, but i just prefer silence. ty so much to the poster that solved my annoying problem with the post of :
Search for "Dell Power Management" in Start
Open and go to the "Thermal Management"
Select the Option "Quiet"
The laptop will become Quiet instantly.
The default setting is set to optimize the laptop.
If you don't have Dell Power Management I think you have to install it

I wonder if the heat issue is causing keyboard failures... ???

Lots of these laptops have keyboards with failed keys in the lower third of the board-- commonly the n, b, numeric 2, space bar, and arrow keys fail and stop working.

Sometimes The bluetooth driver is automatically uninstalled, sometimes the wifi driver is uninstalled, I have to re install and re start, there is overheating issue, the battery discharges pretty quickly then the sound quality is so poor now, I bought the laptop for a higher price range and expected a good quality and dell is known for one, I think there is some manufacturing defect in my laptop inspirion 5593 and I read the reviews of it and 773 people gave this model a one star, my laptop is still under warranty and I don’t even use high processing softwares Something needs to be done, I just can’t waste my time installing softwares again and again

Seems like all Dell Inspiron laptops have overheating and restarting problems. I recently purchased a 5418 and problems started after 3 days of use. Restarted after overheating. Dell support is hopeless as they give standard recommendations that don't work. I should have seen this post or reviewed before purchase. After many hours of argument, they replaced the unit but alas even the new unit is having the same issue. I don't have heavy applications. Just a few browser tabs, outlook, a couple of word documents and a Teams call. That's sufficient for the laptop to reach a skin temperature of 42 degrees on the keyboard.
