Dell Inspiron M5010 Laptop Keyboard

I'm having a problem with the keyboard ribbon latch not snapping shut on my Dell Inspiron M5010 Laptop. I recently purchased a keyboard replacement for it that I know is compatible, does anybody have any suggestions on what I can do? Your help will be much appreciated.
