Welcome to the Dell Community @doctorbaby

I have never heard of any computer manufacturer telling/suggesting any one to upgrade to W10.
Especially since you only have W7 drivers available???
No W8, W8.1 or W10 drivers.

Like others that upgraded an unsupported computer you risk the time when devices are no longer supported.
Best regards and good luck with your complaint.

You should try installing the Windows 7 video driver in compatibility mode.
Also, your laptops comes with either Intel video or AMD ATI video. You need to install the correct driver to match your hardware.
