Dell ispiron N4050

Greeting My friends,

I have Dell N4050 I need to upgrade the laptop. Do you agree with me to upgrade or not?

also I have two questions:

1-I need to upgrade RAM from 4GB to 8GB but i found in market 1600Mhz while my system read 1333Mhz is it okay to buy one RAM 8GB with 1600Mhz or 2x4GB with 1600 Mhz.

2-is it possible to install SSD 500GB instead of DVD player through SSD Caddy and run OS from SSD?

Thanks

That is correct - I don't think I've ever seen anyone successfully use one to boot a Dell Inspiron system.

You MUST boot the system from the internal drive.

The fastest any CPU this system will run RAM is 1333 - though 1600 MHz will work, it won't run any faster than 1333.

While it may be possible to install an SSD in a caddy to replace the optical drive, the vast majority of these CANNOT be used with a boot device - you'll need to replace the hard drive with the SSD, and move the hard drive to the caddy if you want both drives installed.
