Exchanging AC Adapter between the following laptops (Inspiron 5510, 7510, 7610)
Hi,
I have the Inspiron 5510 and Inspiron 7510. Neither of them come with a slim charger (where the cord can easily be wound around the adapter for easy carriage). I see that the Inspiron 7610 comes with the type of adapter that I am looking for. Anyone can advise if the adapter (from the Dell 7610) is compatible with the Dell 5510 and Dell 7510.
Adapter details for:
- 5510 is Output 65w 19.5v 3.34A (Model HA65NS5-00)
- 7510 is output 130W 19.5V 6.7A (Model LA130PM190)
- 7610 Is output 130w 19.5v 6.7A (Model DA130PM130)
The pin size for all 3 chargers is 4.5mm x 3.0mm.
Thanks for your advice.

Yes, you can use the 7610's charger with the 5510 and the 7510.

Thanks for your response.
Any issues with the wattage for the Inspiron 5510 adapter being lower than the Inspiron 7510 and Inspiron 7610?

No. Watts is not what you need to be concerned with when considering whether a charger will damage a a laptop.

Thanks for clarifying on the wattage.
Could you explain what would damage the laptop when using another adapter, so I know what to watch out for?
