G3 3500 ram upgrade
Hello everybody,
I just upgraded my G3 3500 with 2x8gb Crucial Ballistix 3200 (compatible). When I check the frequency of my newly installed ram it says 2666 instead of 2933.
Any suggestions ?

I got 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance 2933MHz, and it works just fine. Even tested them and got high performances.
Thank you for your time.

If you look at the reviews on Crucial's website, there are many complaints about Ballistix RAM in some systems. To run at full speed, it requires a system that has XMP support - which your G3 almost certainly does not.
You may be better off with Crucial's standard RAM.

Thank you for your answer. What do you think about these then ?
Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 2933MHz CL19
There is no mention of XMP.

I would verify with Corsair -- their high performance RAM has a bad track record with Dell systems.

Hi, I have recently upgraded to Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 SODIMM 3000MHz CL16
Its running @2667MHz and now I am finding out some way to enable XMP but I think its not supported in current BIOS.
My Laptop info:
